1. Who we are

flyshelgosh.com is operated by Mark Shelgosh, a sole proprietor based in Nashua, New Hampshire. Contact: mark.shelgosh@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

When you use the Ranger (range day) or Wilco (flight lesson) chatbots on this site, we collect only the information you voluntarily provide, which may include: your name, email address, phone number, experience level, interests, preferred timeframe, and any questions or context you choose to share.

We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information to third parties.

3. How we use your information

Information you submit is used solely to (a) respond to your specific request, (b) send you an email confirmation of what you submitted, and (c) send you optional SMS confirmation if you provided a mobile number. That is the entire purpose.

4. SMS / Text messaging — consent, frequency, opt-out

Plain English first: We use text messages for one thing and one thing only — sending you a confirmation of your Ranger (range day) or Wilco (flight) request, and, for flights, a plan snapshot so you know what's booked. That's it. No marketing. No mailing list. No promo blasts. If we ever wanted to add anything else, we'd ask you fresh first.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. The only third party that touches your mobile number is Twilio — our SMS delivery vendor — acting solely as a subcontractor to deliver the confirmation message on our behalf, contractually restricted from using your number for any other purpose. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase or service; you may use the site and submit intake requests without providing a phone number, and you may opt out at any time by replying STOP.

Opt-in: By providing your phone number during the Ranger or Wilco chatbot intake and clicking submit, you consent to receive one confirmation SMS from Mark Shelgosh acknowledging your request. The opt-in disclosure is shown in the chatbot immediately before the phone number question so you can decide before you type. Federal law (TCPA) requires that we ask for consent explicitly — that's why the fine-print blurb appears in the chat.

Message frequency: Low. You will receive at most one confirmation SMS per intake submission. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates for SMS apply.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or contact mark.shelgosh@gmail.com.

Carriers not liable: Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Email

Emails you submit are used only to send you a confirmation of your request and to reply to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list. Email is delivered via Google (Gmail SMTP) — Google's privacy terms apply to the transport layer.

6. Data retention

We retain submitted information only as long as needed to respond to your request. Records related to completed flight bookings are retained in accordance with FAA record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing mark.shelgosh@gmail.com.

7. Third-party services

flyshelgosh.com uses a small number of vetted services to operate: Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (chatbot AI), Google / Gmail (email transport), and Twilio (SMS delivery). Each processes only the data required to perform its specific function. We do not use third-party advertising networks and we do not run tracking pixels for marketing purposes.

8. Children

flyshelgosh.com is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

9. Your rights

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, correction of that information, or its deletion, by emailing mark.shelgosh@gmail.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
