Soar over New Hampshire and the surrounding New England area in modern general aviation aircraft
My aviation journey started in the Marine Corps as an avionics technician, plane captain, and crew chief on CH-46 helicopters. Those years taught me that aviation doesn't care about wishful thinking—only meticulous preparation, solid systems, and respect for the machine keep you airborne.
After 25+ years of flying, I'm still that pilot who treats checklists like gospel, respects maintenance crews, and believes the best flight is one where safety is never in question. By day, I'm an Enterprise Architect in Nashua building reliable systems. By early morning, I'm in the left seat at Boire Field (KASH), applying that same discipline to flying.
I've mentored several pilots through their certificates and am currently pursuing my IFR and CFI ratings—because apparently, I enjoy the challenge. Whether we're flying the Piper Arrow or the Aspen-equipped Archer, my mission is simple: professional execution, thorough planning, and a safe return to the ramp. Every time.

Communication is key to a great flight experience. Whether you're a seasoned aviator or stepping into a cockpit for the first time, I pride myself on making my passengers feel safe, informed, and engaged throughout every phase of flight.
From planning to pre-flight, departure to landing, you'll understand what's happening and why. I'll explain aircraft operations, answer questions, and share the joy, passion, and wonder of aviation that keeps me coming back to the left seat. We'll add as much fun and excitement as you're comfortable with—always within safe flying practices and regulations.
I have a family and value a safe return to mine. I will ensure a safe return to yours.
Weather Notice: To provide an optimal, best-in-class experience, we may need to reschedule or adjust flight times based on changing weather conditions. Safety always comes first, and I'll work with you to find the best possible flying weather for your experience.
Every stage of your flight—from planning to touchdown—follows strict FAA standards and regulatory oversight.
Every FAA-certified pilot completes rigorous training including a minimum of 40 hours of flight time (most pilots log 60-70+ hours), ground school, written exams, and a comprehensive practical test with an FAA examiner. Training covers aerodynamics, weather theory, navigation, emergency procedures, and aircraft systems. Learn more from the FAA.
To carry passengers legally, pilots must complete three takeoffs and landings within the preceding 90 days. Additionally, every two years, pilots undergo a Flight Review (BFR) with a certified instructor covering both ground and flight operations. Mark exceeds these minimums through regular flying and continuous training.
All pilots must hold a valid FAA Medical Certificate issued by an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). Private pilots require at minimum a Third-Class Medical, renewed every 5 years (or 2 years for pilots over 40), ensuring pilots meet strict health standards including vision, cardiovascular, and neurological fitness.
Aircraft must undergo annual inspections by FAA-certified mechanics, plus 100-hour inspections for aircraft used for hire or instruction. Every flight begins with a thorough pre-flight inspection following a detailed checklist. Our East Coast Aero Club aircraft are maintained to the highest standards with digital logbooks tracking every maintenance action and component life. FAA maintenance standards.
Professional pilots follow standardized checklists for every phase of flight—startup, taxi, takeoff, cruise, landing, and shutdown. Pre-flight planning includes weather briefings, route planning, fuel calculations, weight & balance, and NOTAM review. Modern technology like ForeFlight augments—but never replaces—sound decision-making and adherence to procedures.
Aviation safety is a culture of continuous learning. Pilots participate in safety seminars, review accident reports, study FAA Safety Alerts, and practice emergency procedures regularly. Mark actively pursues additional ratings (IFR, CFI) and mentors new pilots, reinforcing best practices and staying current with evolving regulations and technologies.
💡 Bottom Line: When you fly with Mark, you're not just flying with a pilot—you're flying with someone who has passed rigorous training, maintains strict currency, undergoes regular medical evaluations, follows detailed checklists, and operates meticulously maintained aircraft under continuous FAA oversight. Your safety isn't a priority—it's the foundation of everything we do.
During your flight, I'll be using a state-of-the-art Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) called ForeFlight. This advanced aviation application provides real-time, easy-to-read displays of our aircraft position, route, nearby traffic, and current weather conditions.
If you're interested in following the flight in real time, my ForeFlight subscription supports multiple devices. I can set you up to track our route, position, and surrounding aircraft on your own device during the flight—you'll see exactly what I see.
This feature is perfect for aviation enthusiasts and passengers who want a more immersive, informed flight experience.
Note: Multi-device following requires an iPad, which I will provide. If you're interested, I will have this set up prior to our flight.
